Very rare long: Nagasa: 73,5 cm.
Sori: 1,3 cm.
Motohaba: 3.2 cm.
Motokasane: 0,7 cm.
Sakihaba: 1.8 cm.
Sakikasane: 0.5 cm.

Blade weight (totally nude blade): 837 gr.


Mei (signature): MITUNO KAMI FUZIWARA KANE NOBU (also could read: Motunokami Fuziwara Kanenobu)

Age: Empou era 延宝  (from 1673 to 1681) - Edo period 江戸時代

Blade condition: Excellent no noticeable flaws was polished by a master polisher (Togishi) in Japan. Perfect edge (razor edge).

Tsukamaki (art of handle wrapping with the Ito): Shonai-zuka (this Shonai style is known as “most high ranking samurai”)

Fuchi/Kashira: Iron with solid Silver inlay (depicted "arrows")

Menukis: Shakudo and Gold Dispar couple (depicted "flowers boundles")

 

Tsuba: Forged iron with Gold

 

Kodogu Age: Edo period 江戸時代

 

Blade Habaki: Silver

 

Tsunagi (wood sword to mount the Koshirae without blade): Honoki wooden and Habaki for fitting made of copper

 

Saya:

Nanako Nuri with pure Gold sheets parts and Mother of Pearl drops. Natural Urushi black and red lacquered.

Koiguchi and Kurikata: Black buffalo horn

Kurikata Shitodome couple: Solid Silver carved.

Kojiri: set of same work of the Fuchi/Kashira. Iron with pure Silver inlay also depicted "arrows"

Sageo: Natural colour Silk

 

Koshirae condition: Very good as it was recently restored by a Koshiraes master craftsman (Koshiraeshi) preserving the original wood parts and also all the Kodogu pieces that are from the Edo period

Shirasaya Bukuro (Shirasaya Katana bag): Double Silk fabric wine colour

Koshirae Bukuro (Koshirae Katana bag): Natural Silk embroidered very antique and delicate traditional fine Japanese hand work with inner lining also in Silk
